Although Formal Season is not upon us as of yet, this is the Formal Shopping Season. The hardest thing many girls find is discovering an outfit that is formal without being over the top. To be within the criteria and along with the other girls, but also have your own style and make sure you look individual is a massive struggle.

 As this colour is very different and unique but is still a very classic and typical new era dress trend it may appeal to others differently. You may like the cut but dislike the colour and that is all changeable and adjustable. This dress is very mature and for the bold woman who is ready to put one foot infront of the other at any moment. The back of this dress is so effortless but yet so beautiful. This may be a hassle to put on at first but I am sure it will not be a waste of time. Small and dainty jewellery will be a match made in tinder. As this dress can talk for itself, it is essential that your hair, makeup and shoes do not take over. As many other people stick to plain and neutral colours, by wearing a different colour that will stand out, having key elements that fit well like these shoes and basic, simplistic makeup will help define an elegant classy young woman, and that's the point of having a formal and going through school is about.

As makeup is what makes many people's worlds go round, there is a down side to using the cosmetics. Although, we as humans, can benefit from makeup, some animals are unfortunate and suffer at the hands of cosmetic creators. It's astonishing to see a list of pages and pages of companies that are not held accountable for their actions. Hundreds of the identified companies are listed on the PETA site. To scroll down and see some of your favourite brands, who are promoted by many people who have a large and influential following, is disgusting. In the U.S. alone, hundreds of millions of innocent animals are killed in the name of fashion. The U.K. along with the countries in the European Union have banned all products that are tested on animals, but still allow the companies to stay in the market. They are still getting money for the other products that are tested on small animals. The animals gain no profit.

What about the famous and rich people sporting bags made from leather? The list of 'luxurious' brands that sell their hundreds of items from dead animals.
To ask anyone holding a Givenchy Antigona, wearing M.A.C. foundation, with their eyelashes bathing in benefit mascara, what their opinion is on animals, theres a 90% chance that they'll say that they love and adore them but are not informed by the truth.
On this site, the description states that the bag is made of "goatskin leather". Is this material desired? Or does it sicken anyone else?

We have all seen through the blurred lines that makeup, fashion and accessories are all fun and games, but they are very far from that. Young, impressional teenagers are not informed of the small facts and I strongly hope that this post sees a large audience and informs at least someone who can then further this information. It wasn't until recently that I had personally realised that all the 'wardrobe goals' that I had dreamed of were horrific. I had absolutely no clue that we put animals in disgusting situations for our own sake.

Animals in the U.S. undergo so much stress before they are killed, before they are carved, before their body is turned into a handbag. Do you ever see people posting photos about how they LOVE dead animals dangling on their shoulder?

For every glance I take at someone showing off their leather accessories or clothing I can not help but feel sick. The feeling of regret, sadness, I am overwhelmed by how little our society thinks about 'luxury' brands. Is it really a luxury to have dead, tortured animal skin sitting on shelf after shelf in your house?
Before slaughtered, animals are coated with toxic chemicals that then fall into the soil and can affect other animals and humans. In Kentucky, people had a higher chance of enduring leukemia as a result of the acidic levels in the ground. Are humans really that amazing? We have overcome many things and discovered a whole load of groundbreaking information, but why do we have to constantly make silly decisions like this?

Not only are animals used for cosmetic testing, their bodies are used and abused for materialistic things. Have you ever sat on a lounge suit and thought about the animals that have suffered to have you sitting on this or do you think about how good it would look in your house?

I have many questions for many people, as I am appalled
by the lack of action taken.

There are multiple ways to be happy, healthy, stylish and fashionable without ruining another species AND our own. Animals are not statement pieces, they are here to live, just like we are. Millions of animals become sick or die from the world of fashion, is this the kind of thing we want to promote?

The French word means, "gloves from Sweden", how astonishingly beautiful. The delicate transition from Summer to Autumn, in Sydney alone, has been one of the slowest and most gruelling seasonal transitions yet. Sick of the Summer clothes, the eccentric and powerful style that sets in the hottest season has taken it's toll on me. Being a Summer baby doesn't mean you're a happy baby. To know that you're in Autumn but to see no remnants of the season was exhausting, to say the least. Finally, after the first week of April being over, April is acting just how it should. Mother Nature has taken control and flipped Sydney over.

Back to the interesting topic...

Although the vulgar making of true suede, it is horribly hard to resist. The non-ethical side of fashion shines through as a lot of designer's choice to use suede (hoping to learn how to spell suede by the end of this) is hurtful and damaging, but there are many companies that are a lot more animal friendly and although it's fake, it's one of the best fake thing to exist.

With Autumn occurring, suede is the ultimate trend of the year. Autumn is suede prime time but the fabric is so good you CAN wear it all year round, if you're prepared to sweat all Summer long.
Many online boutiques have various styles of clothing incorporating suede, below are some of my favourite pieces.

Berryana Faux Suede Skirt

Classy combined with sexy is definitely the biggest style for the past year or so. With neutrals and basics attracting the eye of many, this suede skirt from Missguided is a must have. The tight fabric will allow space for your body to create the natural curve your mother graced you with. Dusty rose is a key statement for any sane person's wardrobe. Dusty rose is basically the equivalent to Apple's "Rose Gold" iPhone colour. The outfit on the model is suitable for an evening night adventure. If you're using this skirt or a similar one, I suggest using colours of the same tone. Black items will be too dark against such a light colour but a heavy texture/fabric. Colours that will accentuate this skirt is cream, nude, brown etc.

Crop Faux Suede Top

Everything about this top is modern and unique. Not needing any patterns to make this top stand out and look different, suede creates a whole new depth and identity for this top. A low cut without showing any cleavage at all, this is sophistication and style tied in one. Definitely a statement piece for whatever outfit you decide to weave it into, it is not quiet at all. Unlike the last item, this shirt would definitely work well with blacks, monotone and thick colours as the top alone stands out from afar. Also another thing different to the last one, this crop is a lot more flexible with wear. Faux Suede Moto Jacket

An essential for Autumn; a jacket. Sometimes it's nice to pair shorts or a skirt OR a dress with a big, oversized, fluffy, thick jacket, for those in-between weather days. As a monotone colour, this Forever 21 jacket is definitely an essential. Just like a parka, this jacket ticks every box, including affordability. For Australian's it may be hard to get your hands on, as in our very few Forever 21 stores, we get mostly 2011 left overs from the U.S. (only assuming due to the lack of shape, sophistication and just over all style). Or unless you're willing to pay a trillion dollars for shipping, you'll be able to catch a deal, technically. As shown in one of the photos, this jacket is a scarf as well, having the top bit connect from one side to the other, although if you live in the tropics of Australia you will NOT need this ever. Just by looking at this jacket you can see how warm you'll easily become when endeavouring out on those disgustingly cold days.

Edie Cut-Out Ankle Boots

 A nice touch to a dark and simplistic outfit, the retro styling of these boots will take the outfit to the next level. The colour won't clash against too many other shades, it'll sit perfectly at the bottom, covering your little toes. The cut out design allows breathing room, for those people (me) whose feet just can't handle the heat and decide to sweat the pain out. According to some scientific research, it has been found that your feet in the morning are the smallest they'll be throughout the day, anyways, the heel on the boot gives you the extra lift. The fabric of the shoe speaks for itself and is so simplistic but so edgy at the same time. For such a clean outfit this boot will be the ultimate statement.
