Ferocious Formal

06:10

Although Formal Season is not upon us as of yet, this is the Formal Shopping Season. As Australian girls endure the stretch of their love affair with spending their money during this time, it is only fair they be rendered with compassion. I am here to offer some inspiration through the products of Australian designers.
When anyone is to think of Australia, it is rare for someone to not think of beaches and to think of fashion, style, clothes, desingers, but there is a small army of designers with undiscovered troops. Australia is a bit of a flop when it comes to some things but beautiful clothes is not included in that category. With desingers like Elle ZeitouneAlice McCall and Maurie & Eve they are a vital part in proving Australia's specialties. For these brands to hold a high place in the world market it's only right that we help them lead the brand to success. Support the brands where you know the story behind the name. These brands are sold online and in a variety of boutiques and shops throughout Australia. With ambitious women creating these genuine and stylish gowns it's only right that ambitious women adorn their products.

The hardest thing many girls find is discovering an outfit that is formal without being over the top. To be within the criteria and along with the other girls, but also have your own style and make sure you look individual is a massive struggle.
In my opinion, opting for quite open shoes that aren't dramatic or too over the top matches perfectly for almost all dresses. By showing your toes, although they are very weird and strange, it can create a youthful look as open toed shoes are not chosen as often by the older generations. Shoes like this rather than this are more-so party shoes and it is rare to see a girl's toes covered at parties, formals or any occasion suitable for heels (so pretty much no occasion ever). At the end of the day the choice is yours and just wear whatever you feel comfortable in (any shoes but heels basically).

For each brand I will show two different styles that are beautiful and elegant but are on the 2016 trend without the huge price tag.

Elle Zeitoune

Elle Zeitoune is clearly an Australian label who strives to show the delicate side of every woman. Her designs reflect style and elegance. The products from her line provide shape and femininity. They will catch the eye of many but will not drown you out. Elle has designs for all formal occasions whether it be a school formal, wedding or formal parties. This brand has been around since 2010 and is a decent price for these stunning dresses. For my own formal last year I wore a gown from Elle's line and have no regrets about this purchase and felt as though I had portrayed the classy image I wanted to perceive to my peers. I hope I still feel this way in many years to come.

This striking dress may only attract the bold hearted as the sparkles travel over the whole body, the dark and subtle navy blue contrasts the statement. With the round neck top, the dress will be complimented by loose waves or a soft bun. Nude lipstick or lipgloss with a golden smokey bronzed eye would fit this dress perfectly. As you can't really see the shoes I would suggest wearing thongs, or these would be a pair to precision.

Lace is a completely timeless fabric that everyone from your mum to your fish will love. The intricate details with this dress are carved out like the details of a wedding dress. If you are looking for something to make everyone drool over your every step, then Elle Zeitoune has the dress for you. Another high neck dress with a slightly different cut. A nice, small, simple necklace would be a great pair for the fiery red dress. As the dress is so consuming and bold a slicked back or high pony tail would accentuate your face and neck. Also a similar makeup look to the previous outfit would be just as beautiful. White heels like these would be the cherry on the bottom.

Camilla And Marc
A prestigious pair of siblings from Australia, Camilla and Marc have strived for quality since 2003, endeavouring further into the fashion industry. They try and pursue the scenes of the beachside lifestyle that almost every Australian is comforted by. They have clean cuts and precise details. Camilla and Marc designs have been adorned by a variety of celebrities. In 2007 they released a swim wear line and have continued to develop new products since their company kick started in 2003.

A midi dress is the perfect selection for someone who is not too over the top or looking to stand out too much. The crimson velvet sits on the body softly, without holding onto every inch of your skin. This dress completely identifies with the laid back beach lifestyle that Camilla and Marc pursue. The cinching at the waist creates shape and still allows movement.  Soft and gentle makeup will sit well with this look. A bun or any hair behind the ears will define your face and give you structure. With these they will pull together your look.

Atmos&Here
An exclusive brand to The Iconic (an Australian online store), Atoms&Here holds some treasures in their chest. Their inexpensive items that are ready for any occasion. They have beautiful dresses that you can have for any day.

Dusty off the Shoulder

This sleek, sophisticated dress is a subtle but scandalous look contains the key for anyone who wants to push themselves with a different but still stay in their range of black. This cut and shape is appealing for all shapes as it is tight in the right places and has a split to show your legs and enhance your body. The cut isn't too low at the top and is still tasteful without being a big deal. Accessories that are gold would mix well with this outfit. Depending on the length of your hair, opting for a style that keeps most of hair out of your face isn't just stylish, it's comforting not having your hair look different in every photo and you being unsure of what you're looking like. Crisp and non dramatic makeup would suit this classic dress. Pair this look with these and you'll be ready to go.

Fame and Partners
Fame and Partners is an Australian brand that brings luxury dress styles to a different level. Their dresses are reasonably priced as well as being able to customise. The customisation is cheap and completely creative. You have the choice to change different elements of each dress including the neck line, the sizing to fit a petite, standard or tall woman's body, changing the skirt length, and changing the colour. With a massive array of dresses and styles, you will definitely find or create your own dress.

As this colour is very different and unique but is still a very classic and typical new era dress trend it may appeal to others differently. You may like the cut but dislike the colour and that is all changeable and adjustable. This dress is very mature and for the bold woman who is ready to put one foot infront of the other at any moment. The back of this dress is so effortless but yet so beautiful. This may be a hassle to put on at first but I am sure it will not be a waste of time. Small and dainty jewellery will be a match made in tinder. As this dress can talk for itself, it is essential that your hair, makeup and shoes do not take over. As many other people stick to plain and neutral colours, by wearing a different colour that will stand out, having key elements that fit well like these shoes and basic, simplistic makeup will help define an elegant classy young woman, and that's the point of having a formal and going through school is about.
